Thai classic Khon dancing

Khon is the Thai classic masked play enacting scenes from the Ramayana epos. This kind of play is interesting one because dancers who act in monkey and giant characters have to wear marks on their face while they are dancing.

For foreigners interested in this activity, you can learn Khon dancing for free at Sukothai building 3rd floor, room number 322, Ramkhamhaeng University Huamark campus, on Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm.-6pm.

You will be taught by specialized professors who come from the Arts and Fine Arts department. Participants of their courses come from everywhere.

For more details, please feel free to contact 0-2310-8885 or www.ru.ac.th/english/khon/
